Virtually or In Person
Bell Curves tutors work with students both locally and remotely. For students who are located in cities where there is not currently a Bell Curves tutor (or the desired tutor does not reside), tutors will communicate via telephone as they work through the lessons in the Bell Curves Workbook and use internet technology to provide a "virtual classroom."

Tutoring Sessions
The typical student will complete at least 20 hours of tutoring to be fully prepared to take the LSAT. Appointments are most commonly between 1.5 and 2 hours per session, which gives you between 10 and 15 hours of homework from each session.

Tutors
Professional & Premium Tutoring
Bell Curves Professional & Premium Tutors are our most requested and experienced teachers. They have completed extensive Bell Curves teacher training, taken the LSAT and scored in the 99th percentile, and taught classes with exceptional reviews. All Bell Curves Premium tutors have at least eight years of experience teaching the LSAT and over a decade of teaching test preparation.

Our teachers are:

Engaging - learn concepts by discussion (not just listening) to develop in-depth understanding. Discussion of a topic forces learners to be able to understand, utilize and articulate information, which leads in turn to higher scores.

Encouraging - the maxim is true that while you can lead a horse to water, you cannot make it drink. Our instructors have all proven the ability to get students to "drink heavily" of our methods, which in turns drives LSAT success.

Invested - great teachers and great instruction comes from a deep concern for the success of students. Our instructors are compensated based on student improvement and satisfaction, not their own test accomplishments.

Our students are taught:

To learn deeply - the LSAT tests a narrow core of information in many different presentations. Our students learn to fully grasp the Fundamental 15 - LSAT Building Blocks, the narrow set of required knowledge that is tested on the LSAT.

To leverage intelligently - the ability to understand and reuse the patterns of presentation that the test writers use to test the Fundamental 15 is key to success on the LSAT. Our students learn to recognize these patterns, to analyze, dissect and manipulate these patterns, and consequently our students dominate the LSAT.

To test confidently - being prepared is not enough, being insecure, timid, or unsettled can all lead to poor test performance. Our students learn to mentally prepare for this most important of tests and to understand it so well that they will perform well predictably and to predict their performance well.
